 Lucinda Mackworth-Young is an inspirational international lecturer, workshop leader, author, pianist and piano teacher. She has pioneered Practical Psychology for Musicians, Step-by-step Playing by Ear and Improvising, and Dance for Musicians.

Director of The Piano Teachers’ Course UK, the country’s leading course for piano teachers, Lucinda has also provided material for ISM and ABRSM courses, and In-Service Teacher Training. She is currently working on an improvisation project with Trinity College London.  Her highly successful book Tuning In was published in 2001, and her new practical guide Piano by Ear, published by Faber Music, was finalist in the 2016 Music Teacher Awards.
